Winemaking
It is not only about the wine. The concept is much broader and dense. It is also tradition, the terrain, character... they all have their own space in our bodega. The successive enlargements of the bodega and vineyards are just the reflection of the logical development experienced in our lives and family.
Bodegas Vallobera owns 90 ha of vineyards in Laguardia with a guaranteed annual production of 500,000 kilos of grape. The vines grow on limestone-clay soils and produce mainly the Tempranillo variety and a smaller amount of Graciano, Viura and Garnacha Tinta, as well as new varieties such as Malvasa, Sauvignon Blanc, Tempranillo Blanco and Chardonnay.
The bodega has a new generation of winemakers. Javier, the oldest son, presented his first wine, «Terran de Vallobera», in 2007, and together with his sister Yoana, they have just created a new range of sweet wines called «Dulces de Vallobera».
